kinks faves include bdsm (he's a sub), crossdressing (idk why it just suits him), photo/videography (obv), etc. only hard no's are extreme gore (for a guy from a saw movie?? wtf man) and bathroom play outside of humiliation-related kinks (eg bathroom control).
canon my default setting is generally pre-trap, where adam is just trying to get by and hasn't, y'know, watched a man hack his own foot off. I'm also open to playing scenarios set after the events of saw, either where he lives or is potentially a ghost/etc. in the former case I’m particularly interested in dealing with his inevitable ptsd and maybe even him being a jigsaw apprentice whoops?? not that he'd be great at it lol :')
headcanon we don't get a ton of information about adam directly from the saw franchise, so the following are my own thoughts about his background/etc. a lot of this is informed/inspired by bonus material on the DVDs, the original script, etc.
au in general, the most convenient au/reason adam is alive post-saw 2004 is that adam & lawrence have their positions reversed: adam survives the trap by shooting lawrence. this also means he's murdered a father & husband, and no matter how shitty lawrence's behaviour might have been (ie cheating) that's not something adam can cope with easily. in this scenario I don't imagine adam is an apprentice (tbh he's not that useful) but obviously this is flexible!
a note while I play adam as cisgender by default, I'm also open to the idea of exploring him as trans (ftm). please lmk if you're interested & we can plot something! in these scenarios I imagine he's had top surgery but nothing else (he just doesn't have the cash for it).

- family: he's an only child who wishes he had siblings. his parents aren't very remarkable - they live in the suburbs and work regular jobs. adam is estranged from both of them primarily because of a fallout he had with his father re: adam being bisexual, as well as related issues (adam being sensitive & more interested in the arts than sports, etc).
- school: his bad relationship with his parents led to adam doing poorly in school. he wanted to be a vet, but did not believe he had the grades to get into veterinary school. eventually he dropped out of high school and moved out, leaving his parents behind in the suburbs.
- whereabouts: adam currently lives in cityton, new jersey.
- relationships: he has one significant ex girlfriend (vegan, feminist, punk) who is mentioned in canon; otherwise, he's dated casually and had a hookup here and there, mostly with guys. he's pretty crap when it comes to dating. he also has a (former) best friend, scott tibbs, the frontman of a kind-of-okay band who seems to enjoy pranking/abusing adam for shits & giggles ("to toughen him up", in scott's own words).
